Manage interfaces (under the Input tab)

1. As you see in the following screenshot, on the bottom-right, you have the Manage Interfaces... button with three tabs; Local Interfaces, Pipes and Remote Interfaces. These are the options that Wireshark can capture data from:
   

2. When you choose the Manage Interfaces... button and the Input tab, you will see a list of available local interfaces, including the hidden ones, which are not shown in the other list:
   
3. Wireshark can also read captured packets from another application in real time.
