The hello world app that was built in the last step can be executed in two ways: either by running it from the command line, or by clicking the icon from the file manager:

You should see an icon like the preceding one in your file manager in the current directory. Alternatively, return to the command prompt and simply enter the hello.exe command from the project directory. Using either method, you should now see this app running on your desktop (you may need to hunt as it's a very small window):
